The strategic decision to serve the surrounding markets exclusively from our headquarters in Switzerland has proven to be extremely successful. As a result, we have not only seen a significant increase in new customer acquisition for our solutions in German-speaking countries, but have also been able to carry out more maintenance and repair work on existing installations. In general, we are seeing an increased willingness to invest in maintenance services globally. This is a trend that we very much welcome and will continue to actively support, not least from an environmental perspective.
Our sales and service partners made a significant contribution to a successful 2023, particularly thanks to the rapid development in Asian markets. We also managed to substantially increase volumes in historically strong countries such as France, Turkey and Australia. Last year, over 700 new Fasnacht systems and applications were put into operation by our customers worldwide. We are particularly pleased with the noticeably growing confidence of international manufacturing groups and European machine manufacturers in the flexo and gravure printing sector. Our virtues, such as reliability, transparency and a high level of expertise and professionalism, are recognized and appreciated in the industry.
